Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

Part of Horizon 2020 is the SME Instrument. SME Instrument is part of Horizon 2020, the world's largest funding scheme for research and innovation. We help companies to submit innovation proposals to cover 70% of the costs of various pre-commercial innovation activities.

A dedicated blended finance scheme in Horizon 2020 for the benefit of European Small and Medium Enterprises that have identified a new market opportunity and have developed a concept to exploit it through an innovative product or service. SMEs could receive up to €2.5 million grant and optional €15 million equity investment, plus business coaching and mentoring to scale up their innovation idea.

The Consortium Agreement (CA) is made between participants in a project financed under Horizon 2020 to govern a number of issues that will or may arise during the project. A CA is required for all projects financed under the Horizon 2020 Programme. ARS supports the proponent SMEs with its expertise during this action.

• PREPARATION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PHASE 2

The Grant Agreement sets out the rights, obligation, terms and conditions applicable to the grant awarded to the beneficiaries for implementing the action. Our experts will support you during this action.
